The highest grade of saffron in the world was grown right here in Warkworth, Ontario by True Saffron Producers.
Although they are no longer in production, we were able to purchase the majority of the saffron from their final growing season, so we’ll have plenty for many chocolate bars to come.
The most expensive spice in the world, known as red gold, grew for 5 years amidst the rolling hills of Northumberland County. This local saffron has been evaluated by the International Organization for Standardization and deemed to be among the very best in the world: Grade 1.

Art Farm , established in 1996, is an organic market garden located near Warkworth, Ontario. We grow a variety of vegetables, herbs and flowers, all grown sustainably. Owners Lenni Workman and Brad Francis, practice their art when not farming.
Brambleberry Farm it is our go-to place for strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackcurrants. This 35-acre berry farm is just down the road in Wooler, Ontario and has been growing high-quality fruit since 1981. We now create 7 bars that feature their delicious berries, including our award-winning Saffron Strawberry Rhubarb Bar, which won a silver medal in the white chocolate category at the International Chocolate Awards, 2018 Canadian Competition and the Blackcurrant Bar that won a silver medal in the dark chocolate category
